FEATURES OF SOLID WOOD

RECLAIMED, SALVAGED AND SUSTAINABLE

All of our pieces are made with solid wood - using no veneers or laminates. Each board will have a variation of naturally occurring wood knots, grain patterns and may include former use and / or tool marks along with a variety of unique characteristics. 

WOOD KNOTS  Knots are an inherent feature of authentic, solid wood.

WOODGRAIN  Every item will showcase heavy, medium, or light woodgrain patterns.

CRACKS  Wood cracks naturally in response to changing humidity levels in the environment. Wood tenons are utilized to address any former cracks or splits - mainly on outer edges and/or underside of the tables. If new cracks begin to appear, humidity levels will need to be adjusted within the space the piece is in. 

HOLES OR TOOL MARKINGS/TEXTURES  When working with reclaimed wood, previous features and marks contribute to the history of the wood.

DARK AND LIGHT AREAS Sun bleaching and darkening may occur in patches or run the length of the board.
