Bought this table for my little farmhouse, wanting something that resembled the look and had the quality of my grandmother's farmhouse table. It was VERY heavy but I was able to put it together alone. I am very pleased with the quality. The darker color looks great and even after two weeks of use, I have no water stains on it. Northfield Store exceeded my expectations with their quality and customer service. I bought the table height French Farmhouse Kitchen table. The quality was terrific - exactly as advertised and beautifully crafted. Upon assembly (a 5 minute process of attaching the legs using the tool and hardware provided by Northfield Store), I decided it would look better as an island in my kitchen. When I asked to purchase taller legs, they simply shipped me new legs for free - no questions asked. I was stunned. The legs arrived a few days ago and my new island looks beautiful. Table is high quality construction and materials. Every part of the table is solid, heavy wood, and is nicely finished. The finish is the open pore type, meaning it doesn’t have a hard shellac or polyurethane top coat. Though I had my doubts about this at first, it works very well and does not easily mark or absorb liquids or stains. The table is relatively narrow at 30 inches, so it’s not really meant for large family style dining with loads of food on the table. This is another feature we’ve grown to like. It makes for a more intimate meal and is plenty wide enough. The 72 inch length comfortably seats six. We’re very pleased with the table and wouldn’t hesitate to buy from this store again.
