Parsons Wood Bench

Clean, simple, and made to last, our Parsons Bench pairs a minimal silhouette with the natural character of reclaimed wood. Its square legs sit flush with the top, creating the balanced lines that define classic Parsons-style furniture.

Each bench is handcrafted from reclaimed hemlock wood that has been carefully selected and hand-planed to create a smooth, comfortable surface. Subtle saw marks, knots, grain variations, and traces of the wood’s former use remain visible. These are natural characteristics—not defects—and ensure that no two benches will ever be exactly alike.

Our finishes are mixed and applied by hand in our workshop to complement the natural variation of reclaimed Hem wood.

Designed to highlight the wood rather than conceal it
Because reclaimed boards absorb finish differently, natural variations in tone and grain should be expected. Samples are representative, but each completed bench will have its own individual character.

Shipping and assembly
Shipping is included within the contiguous United States.
Your bench will ship by UPS, carefully packaged to help protect it in transit. Tracking information will be provided once your order is on its way.
Simple assembly is required - instruction, tool and hardware are all included.
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Please contact us within that period before sending your bench back.
The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. The bench must be returned in its original condition and packaging. Custom-sized or personalized pieces may not be eligible for return.

North Field is a small, family-run furniture studio near Lake Michigan. Since 2004, we have been creating solid-wood furniture one piece at a time, with an emphasis on simple design, useful proportions, and the natural character of reclaimed materials.
Every bench is built and finished by hand in our workshop. We believe furniture should feel honest, enduring, and easy to live with—made thoughtfully for your home and intended to be used for years.
